In cervical stenosis, there are other treatment modalities and options to control pain and prevent neuropathy. The same goes for
osteoarthritis.
Long term oral
steroids worsen
osteoporosis and cause weight gain, fluid retention, reduced immunity, to name a few.
It also creates dependence and
withdrawal symptoms. Please consult your physician for better alternatives.
Do not try to stop or wean on your own. You will need other medications to help you deal with the pain and withdrawal symptoms.
