Is Marfan Syndrome And Cardiac Problem To Be Concerned?
16 yo male has lateral pectus carinatum, asymptomatic, also has modular acne and would like to go on accutane. Chest X-ray and ultrasound revealed no masses. Should we be concerned about Marfan syndrome and cardiac problems. He is tall and thin and athletic, plays hockey and soccer without difficulty.

I really appreciate your concern here you have described two conditions one is "Marfan's syndrome" and second is "Pectus Carinatum" these both are genetic in origin some dominancy of inherited gene is responsible for this, in other word I could say that these may not be considered as the disease but some time Marfan's could be responsible for some cardiac problems and that is does not seems here, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
