Is Medication Required For My Liver Enzyme Levels?
I am male of 34 years. My tests show Total Bilirubin 1.8 (Direct: 0.7 and Indirect: 1.1) - Reference range of total Bilirubin is 0.2 - 1.2. Mg/dl. Protein, s.albumin, s.glubolin, SGOT are normal. But SGPT is high = 62 (Range: 5 - 40). Please advise if I should take any medicine or get any other tests done. Thanks, Manish M
Your total bilirubin high with elevated sgpt... Here viral hepatitis ruled out first.... Investigate with .... -serum viral marker detection by ELISA.. -USG
USG also reveal fatty liver and gall stone if associated...
Mostly you are having hepatocellular jaundice... Still for distinguishing it from obstructive jaundice Urine uribilinogen can be done.. Avoid alcohol if habit....
Udiliv drug can be used....
Fruits more... Green leafy veg more. One tsp crushed papaiya seed with lemon juice can be taken....
If still cause not found PS and retic done for rule out hemolytic cause Liver biopsy final option if no cause found...
Take care.
