Hi,

Is it bronchopleural fistula? Is it esophago bronchopleural fistula?

If she has fistula associated complications like pneumothorax or dyspnea or tension pneumothorax need emergency surgical closure of the fistula.

Treated with medically or surgically. Medically with antibiotics and therapeutic tapping.

Surgically bronchoscopic insertion of a metal stent or bronchoscopic coil insertion etc.

Nd:YAG laser coagulation or serratus muscle flap closer may be used.

Please consult your pulmonologist/cardiothoracic surgeon, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
