Is My Semen Analysis Report Normal?
hello doctor
my age is 37, married for 2 years, weight 66 kg, height 158 cm. i have no other medical issues before.
here is my semen analysis report :
colour : grayish white,
reaction: alkaiine
volume: 0.8 ml
liquifaction time : 30 minutes
sperm concentration : 73.00 mn/ml
motility (1 hour) :
rapid progresssive : 20%
slow progresive :20%
non progresive : 20%
imotile : 50%
pus Cells : 8-10/HPF
red blood celss: 1-3/HPF
morophology:
normal : 70%
abnormal : 30%
other notes: sperm agglatintion (+), consistency :normal viscosity
please advice whehter the report is normal or have any problems to be a father

Your semen analysis report suggests infection with decreased sperm motility.
Infection is indicated by the presence of pus cells,RBC in semen. Normally there shouldn't be any pus cells in semen.
Infection may be due to prostatitis,UTI.
You need antibiotics for infection.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,Ultrasound of pelvis should be done.Trans rectal sonography of prostate can be done if needed.
Proper antibiotics should be prescribed depending upon culture and sensitivity report of semen.
You also have mildly low sperm motility.Sperm motility should be at least 55 %.
Sperm count and morphology are normal.
Fertility will definitely improve with control of infection.
You should do exercise and take nutritious food.
You should avoid tight underpants.
Avoid cigarettes and alcohol if you take these things.
If low sperm motility persists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques like IUI.
Get well soon.
