Is My Son Having Flu?
14 yr old son. No Meds. Rapid onset of chills. Needs two blankets, thick clothes and still cold. 15 minutes now. Temp is 98.8. 5'10" 122lbs. Could this be the onset of flu with chills as the only symptom? What do I need to be looking for as a possible different diagnosis than flu?

The reasons for the chills may be the malaria, typhoid, throat infection, and urinary tract infection etc.
Un less tests are done,it may be difficult to identify the type of fever.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms injection of chloroquine, cifixime, paracetamol etc.
