Is Non Responding Of A 7 Month Old To Different Sounds A Cause For Concern?

Hi doctor, I am a mother of baby girl,she is 7 months old and she is not responding on any kind of sound... but she can speak like ammm. ..aaahaaa. .. other things are totally normal. Doctor suggest me to wait for at least 5 months. .. but I am so worried. What can I do?

Usually children respond to sound or get alert on some sound . However there is no harm on waiting for a couple of months till giving developmental delay a benefit of doubt. Let a paediatrician decide what is best for the child.
