Is Normal Flow Void In The Basilar And Carotid Arteries A Serious Finding?
Hi, I was hit by the trunk of an SUV on 9/3/2014 on the left side of my head. My head was bleeding. I have been getting headaches ever since. I received an MR HEAD WITHOUT AND WITH CONTRAST. There Is a normal Flow Void in the basilar and the carotid arteries. What does this mean? Thank you The doctors kept asking me if I get blood clots. I do have one in my leg.
Hello, Thank you for using healthcare magic. I am sorry for your accident long time ago, however your MRI is normal. Flow void means normal blood flow within arteries, excluding thrombosis or luminal stenosis (narrowing) due to any atherosclerotic plaque or whatever. Normal MRI. Hope my answer may be useful. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further explanation. Dr. Juarda
