Is Nosebleed A Side Effect Of Microgynon?

Hi. My daughter started taking microgynon last month. In the last week she has had 3 nose bleeds with no obvious cause and each lasting upwards of 20 mins. Could the microgynon be the cause? It s not listed on the side effects but it s the only thing we can think of that has changed

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Nosebleeds are not a side effect of Microgynon.
So,I don't thing that the symptoms can be related to the use of this pill.
It can be related to the dry air or high temperatures.
I suggest to use a humidifier at home.
I also suggest to use a saline nasal spray for local application.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
