Is Pain In Various Parts Of My Body Caused Due To Shingles?

Have been treated for shingles about 18 months ago and am not sure I got the drugs soon enough . Seem to be having searing pain , lasting about 3 to 4 seconds and this has happened at various parts of my body and at irregular intervals . Could this be caused by shingles , I suffer from osteo arthritis as well . David

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
Pain following herpes zoster infection can occur in the patient which is called as postherpetic neuralgia.
The herpes virus will remain dormant for longer period of time in specific nerve dermatome.
The pain in postherpetic neuralgia is confined to that part of the body which is supplied by that dermatome.
I don't think this is a postherpetic pain.
There are several reasons for generalized myalgia, and the cause for the myalgia should be found out.
I would suggest you to consult your physician for the further evaluation.
Thank you.
