Is Painful Soreness In Spine Post Injury Suggestive Of Broken Bone?
I was in a car crash on Mother s Day chest back and tail bone is getting more sore every day. Had a seat belt on on other injurys. Will it get better in time. No insurance and I m sure the ER will only go Exrays but I m sure there are no broken bones. Should I ask for something else
It could be broken bones or musculoskeletal pain due to trauma, strain, tendon/ligament tear or slipped disc, etc. Get X-Ray, CT & MRI done to detect the factor causing you discomfort. Get treated. In the meantime, you can take muscle relaxants like Baclofen or Tizanidine. You can use sprays for pain relieve like Volini. Do not stress unnecessarily, stay at rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
