Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son 6 years old, had a fever with the temperature peaking to 101F the day before. I had administered panadol and the temperature came down. This morning he did not have a temperature when he woke up (6 hours after the last panadol dose). This evening his temperature is about 99F. Should I give him another dose of panadol or just wait to see if the temperature rises any further?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. I have read your question in detail and I know that you are very concerned about your child but don't worry. Panadol contains paracetamol and it should be given when fever is present that is when temperature crosses 100 fahrenheit. There is no need to give panadol if fever is not present. I hope this will help you. Wishing your child good health. Take care.
