Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Your partner's history suggests towards diagnosis of acute lumbar sprain with radicular pain in lower limbs. He may have got slipped disc. Ask him to go for xray of lumbo sacral spine anteroposterior and lateral views to rule of vertebra minor fracture. Strict bed rest is needed for 2 to 3 days. Start tab pregalin x 75 twice a day with tab ultracet p twice a day for pain relief. Bed rest in semi fowler position will be more comfortable means keeping hip and knee flexed with two pillows underneath. if no reef of pain in 3 days please consult spine surgeon nearby your area.
