General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Getting constipation or altered bowel habits are due to many reasons as lack of fiber, physical activity limitation and others. But fecal incontinence suggest possible damage to levator ani muscle or external anal sphincter; should not be neglected and immediately attended to your operative surgeon at hospital.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
