Is Prednisone Sufficient For Fever And Respiratory Problems?

Hi, my husband has probably an hurticaria. He is a TA at Johns Hopkins University and for that reason we went this morning to the Doctor that the JHU offer to their student. She prescribed Prednisone 20 (and he have to take 2 pills daily). In my opinion this Hurticaria is very strong because he has fever and this morning he had some respiratory problems connected to it and the swellings are too much and big. Should I go in a Hospital? Hello,
Prednisolone is a steroid which will be effective for your husbands complaints.But apart from this your husband should be prescribed some anti histaminics for allergy as you said he is having urticaria plus antibiotics depending on what respiratory problem is like any infection and also for the type of swelling he is having.So my suggestion is go to hospital.Lets have a complete clinical checkup and proper medications.Hope this helps.Stay healthy.
