Is Pregabalin Safe And Effective For Anxiety Attacks?
hi my name is caroline and im 51, i suffer with agrophobia and bad anxiiety attacks. my docyor prescribed mirtazapine. and oxazepam, but im still getting axiety atttacks 24/7 so he perscribed me pregabalin. which i can take with the other medication, but after reading the leaflet on the pregabalin, im to scared to take them because of the side effects, i think i just need a bit of reassurance and a bit more information on the tablets.
Pregabalin has been found to be effective in a number of people with anxiety who were not responding to first line agents. Regarding side effects, each and every medicine has side effects. In fact, not only medicines, but every thing that we eat or drink has some side effects. For example, we never think of the side effects when we eat potato chips or other fries. Then there is no reason why the fear of side effects should withhold you from a trying a medicine. You always have the option of stopping it if it doesn't suit you. I have used it in many of my patients and have always felt that it is a very well-tolerated drug.
Best wishes.
