Is Pregnancy Continuing Despite Cytotec Insertion?
i took cytotec tablets at two weeks pregnancy.the first time i inserted two tablets vaginally and i had some slight bleeding and a small blood clot.i took two more tablets and i started passing some brownish discharge for two days.am i still pregnant?
Hello dear Understand your concern Cytotec should be take after the consulting the gynecologist for medical termination of early intrauterine pregnancy (up to 63 days of pregnancy). Pelvic examination and USG is needed before taking pill. Bleeding will start after taking tablet with in 1-2 hour and remain for 3-4 days. In your case as you passed the blood , chance of pregnancy is less. But should be confirmed by pregnancy test (it takes 7-10 days to become negative after using pill). But better to consult the doctor and get the USG scan done after 14 days to confirm the completeness of abortion process and pregnancy. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
