Is Pregnancy Possible By Having Unprotected Sex Post Ovulation?

Hi. So me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex the day that I ovulated which was Nov 4th. I have had a ton of early pregnancy symptoms. I was supposed to get my period Nov 18th. But today I woke up and had heavy bleeding and cramping. Could I possibly still be pregnant or is this just a period?... my breasts never hurt the day of my period and they still do. I still feel nausea and I have a headache and kinda feel like I m getting sick. Please help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Once you get bleeding following unprotected intercourse, it says that you have not conceived. However, other symptoms what you are experiencing could be due to hormonal changes taking place. Once your bleeding stops, those symptoms should subside eventually.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
