Is Pregnancy Possible When Diagnosed With Idiopathic Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism?

Hi doctor i had a problem i never seey period since i was born, i went to the doctor since 2010 h give me the pills nordett after taking them i see my period bt if m not taking the treatment i can t c my period he said my diagnosis is idiopathic hypogonadrophic hypogonadism and low bone mass secondary to hypogonadism..all i want to know is should i able to get child on that situation? dear lady,

sorry to hear about your condition but great news is that you are seeking help and treatment for the same. kudos to that. it is a little difficult with your diagnosis to conceive. since your body itself doesnot make adequate hormones, it will need external replacement. and with the kind of hormonal fluctuations that happen in pregnancy, it is difficult to maintain the same externally. also, if you conceive and are maintained on hormones, it is very likely that your child may bear the brunt of it in form of some congenital deficit/ anomaly.

there is still a ray of hope though!!! with latest techniques like IVF and surrogacy, you can still enjoy motherhood and adoption is definitely an evergreen option where not only you will become a mother, you will also give a child a chance to live a beautiful life.

so please dont get hopeless, and look around, life has a lot of bright options for u.
