Is Profuse Sweating Due To Estrace Cream?

I am 70 years old. I have been using Estrace cream for approx. 1 yr. but not always 1-2 times a week as prescribed. I am using it because of a prolapsed bladder and my doctor said it would help to strengthen my vaginal area. Within the last 3 months, I have on an average of 2-3 times per week break out in a sweat as I did when I was in menopause; however, more water this time. Could this medication be causing this? Thanks you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Profuse sweating is a very very rare side effects of Estrace vaginal cream and it is unusual. It might be because of any hormonal imbalance, I advise you to consult your physician and mention about profuse sweating for the change of medication if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
