Is Prolonged Bleeding Normal After An Abortion?

hi i m 21 yrs old i was pregnant 5 weeks and i have consulted a doctor for abortion she has given me some medicines on 2 and 4 of dec 2010 i have done sonography on 10 and doc told me that abortion was successful and the sac is released. size of my uterus on 10 was 7.9 , today is 21dec and i m still bleeding, is this normal or i have to consult a doctor plz help me

its normal to have bleeding after anh abortion. its usually last 10 to 15 days depending upon duration of pregnancy. if it doesn't stop in next week u should get another usg done to look for retain products of pregnancy
