Is Psoriasis Contagious Through Touch?

Hello I have psoriasis and I had my pregnant wife put some of my clobetasol propionate ointment usp 0.05% on my back and she washed her hand twice immediately after. Then I got to reading the warning on the instructions and now I am concerned about her and the baby after handling the ointment

Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
No psoriasis is not a contagious disease through touch. It is an auto immune disease...so do not worry.
About the drug Clobestesol propionate when taken orally, is having treatogenic effect on fetus. Though contact with skin ( application of ointment ) can cause absorption through skin, it's not confirmed to be dangerous for baby .
So don't worry, a single application would not cause much of side effects on mother/ child.
Hence forward, get it applied by some body who is non pregnant.
