Is Ragi Consumption Safe For Heart Patient With Potassium Problems?
Hello Doctor,
My father in law is a heart patient and has recently done a heart surgery..he is ok now but he has problem in his potassium level.Doctor has told to use only 5 gm of salt in a day..My Question to u is can he eat Ragi for his breakfast...i wanted to chk the potassium level in it.it will not harm him no..
If he has high potassium levels, then do not give ragi to him as it has a high potassium content. Only when his potassium levels are low or within normal range (3.5-5.0 mEq/l), you can give ragi to him.
