Is Raised BP, Headache And Muscle Pain In Neck Due To Intake Of Prednisone?

I had an allergic reaction and was prescribed prednisone, as I was itchy and swollen lips. On a 10 day dosage- my blood pressure has been up for two days (am also on blood pressure meds), and I have a headache. Also feel like a muscle pain in my neck which has just begun. Am I worrying for no reason? suggestions?

Hi,
You shoot up of blood pressure may be accounted for prednisolone and so is your headache. it is unlikley that your neck pain is related to pred, and hence an other cause for it should be sought.
You need not worry as all the side effects of steroids (prednisolone) are generally reversible.
hope it helped.
