Is Removing Of Stitches On Lips After 10 Days Considered A Long Delay?
Had my lip split open and had stitches on the outside and inside of my lip. I went in on day 5 and dr told me they weren't ready to come back 5 days later. Is that too late for stitches to be removed? It looks healed now from the outside..Also due to this accident I broke a tooth. How soon after my stitching is removed can I go see a dentist to get a new tooth put in. Thank you.
As per your complain stitches are generally removed after a week as initial healing generally occurs with a week.. However if you get them removed in ten days then it's also not too late..
But I would suggest you not to delay further as the tissues can start overgrowing over the stitches and will become difficult to remove as well as chances of rising of Infection are also high..
After removal of stitches I would suggest you to wait for another one week and then you can proceed with getting x ray of broken tooth done followed by appropriate treatment like Root Canal Treatment followed by capping of tooth..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
