Is Scarlet Fever Contagious?
I know that Scarlet fever is typically a childhood disease. My friend s newborn contracted Scarlet fever. I babysat him two days ago (a day after the rash began), but I am also a caregiver for seniors. Is it possible for me to be a carrier of the infection even if I haven t had any symptoms?

The organism (sterptococci)lead to scarlet fever can spread through personal contact.
It can be hospital acquired also.
Scarlet fever mostly affect child and it have no long term serious side effect on health.
It can be treated with antibiotic.
So dont worry about it.If you have symptoms then antibiotic will be taken.
