Is Schizophrenia Related With Hallucinations, Anxiety And Memory Loss?

hi, i havent been diagnosed with schizophrenia but i show vital symptoms such as hallucinations of hearing and sight. i have anxiety and have phases of depression which give me suicidal thoughts. i forget things easily and this may be caused by the fact that i can struggle to concentrate on a particular thought. in primary school i tried to commit suicide twice . i have checked on online tests and they tell me that i have schizophrenia (i know its not a diagnosis) and i have researched it thoroughly.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are concerned about your psychological problems and diagnosis. The symptoms that you have mentioned can be due to Schizophrenia. Especially, hallucinations are one of the core symptoms of Schizophrenia.

It is not possible to diagnose Schizophrenia using online tests or by checking the internet. A detailed psychological assessment by a psychiatrist is essential. So, I would suggest that you consult a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation. Also, since your symptoms seem to be distressing you a lot, it is essential that you take treatment. There are good medication available which can help you overcome these symptoms. So, please don't hesitate to seek professional help.

Wish you all the best.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are going through a difficult time due to your multiple psychological problems. Now, some of the symptoms that you have mentioned such as hallucinations are suggestive of Schizophrenia. However, you have also mentioned other symptoms like depressive and anxiety symptoms also. There is a diagnosis called Scizo-affective diorder where persons can suffer from symptoms of both Schizophrenia and depression.

In such a case where you are recognising multiple symptoms, a detailed psychological assessment by a psychiatrist is necessary in order to make the correct diagnosis.

Online psychological tests or self diagnosis based on internet information is highly unreliable. So, I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and further management.

Wish you all the best.
