Is Sensitivity To Cold Things Sign Of Lyme Disease Or Bells Palsy?

My father has had a series of symptoms that a clinic and doctor were not able to help us much. First it was peristalsis on one side of the face, irregular sensitivity to cold things. This has gradually moved up his arms, toes and his back. At first it started at his fingertips and he can't quite explain these symptoms. He got a prescription of Prednisone 20 MG and Acyclovir 800 MG. These were prescribed because he was diagnosed with Bells palsy in an emergency room. Then he went to a clinic and a doctor THINKS that he has Lyme disease. This doctor wants him to take another prescribed medicine but the medicine he was taking before was so strong it didn't make sense to take it.
