Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am a female at 40. I suffer from panic disorders for 5 years. I have taken zoloft in 2 months, and this year 2 months seroxat (january-February). I am affraid to start once again on seroxat as I fear dependency. Is seroxat safe for the body? Thanks a lot.
hi, zoloft and seroxat are anti depressants that will help in ameliorating panic attacks. There is no drug that works on brain yet being totally safe. however, your disease needs to be treated and minor side effects should be ignored. you can use seroxat with consultation of a psychiatrist, as you have already tolerated it well (you didn't mention that you had any side effects.) Along with this, behavioural therapy and desensitization therapy also helps. hope i am clear.
