Is Severe Cough A Long Term Side Effect Of Nitrofurantoin?

hi , I had a reaction to Nitrofurantoin, Chills, fever, dry cough, tingling, tiredness, and nassau, and I feel I have to cough when taking deep breath, I stopped taking medicine right away. Its been two days, I still have cough symptoms. Are these long term side effects?
