What should I do
You are having severe itching after taking Vicodin. You are experiencing side effect of the medicine you have been taking. Opiates do cause itchiness. Yes, Percocet also contains opiate pain reliever. Do not take it. You can take antihistamine to reduce / control itching. You can also apply ointment Hydrocortisone on the area affected.
For dental pain relieve, you can take Naproxen, it is an NSAIDs, will help to relieve pain. Take it after taking food properly as it may causes gastritis if taken in empty stomach. Talk to your treating doctor before taking any medicine. Take care of your dental hygiene. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
