Suggest Remedy For Severe Itching In Toddlers With Dengue Fever
My daughter 4.5 years old has been suffering from dengue fever. On 6th day of fever her platelet count is 171000/cu. she has no fever for last 2 days. Now has severe itching in palm & sole. We started chlorpheniramide maleate but response is not satisfactory. What can we do now for her severe itching ?
platelatcountis becoming normal. so recovery is good. itching inpalm and sole is common symptoms. hydration is to be maintained this medicine will not help. avoid aspirin. can take paracetamol for controlling fever if there is bleeding symptoms then it is alerting. may require hospitality and blood trans fusion. no medicine to treat dengue.to be kept under watch. platelet count is only indicator of progress hydration and rest is requered. other symptoms will improve slowly.
