Is Severe Stomach/abdominal Cramps, Diarrhoea And Thirst Symptoms Of Iodine Poisoning?

I was wondering how soon the symptoms of idodine poisoning would occur?I ve been handling vet. Iodine for the last few days due to a horse that was expierencing a small possible case of rain rot.I didn t use gloves, bad mistake on my part I m beginning to think. I ve been having some severe stomach/abdominal cramps, diarrhea, urinating less but drinking more and having a higher thirst level(not sure if this goes along with but my appetite has decreased as well. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, just want to know if I should contact my physican ASAP. Thank you!

Hi ...
Thanks for writing in to Healthcare Magic.
The symptoms you have mentioned are quite nonspecific. The can be due to iodine poisoning but can be due to a gut problem either.
Ideal way to detect iodine poisoning is to get the serum levels.
A local clinician should be consulted for any possibility of a gut disorder.
I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
