Is Sigmoidoscopy Advisable For Large Haemorrhoids In Abdomen?

I am having hemeroid problems, bleeding and would like them removed. Had a Colonoscopy 6 years ago and doc told me I have large hemeroids (sp?). I am being referred to a doc that wants to do a sigmoidoscopy without any consultation. Is this the acceptable treatment? I don t know if he ll remove the hemeroids.

As you have hemorrhoid problem,now a days some doctors do sigmoidoscopy.
Sigmoidoscopy generally do to visualize last two feet of colon that include rectum , sigmoid colon and descending colon. It is use to find out the cause of bleeding, the exact location of hemorrhoid.
So your doctor may do sigmoidoscopy for exact location of hemorrhoid.
