Is Skiing Advisable While Suffering From Cough And Chest Congestion?

Hi, my son is 4. He s had a very tight cough for 4 days. Yesterday he started loosening up and coughing up mucus. He is also congested, his throat hurts and his voice is so raspy that we can barely hear him. Question: would it be a bad idea to take him skiing in very cold temperatures?

Hello,

First thing is his throat and upper respiratory infection should be well controlled. Then only he can be taken out for any such activities as mentioned. Exposing him to severe cold in present condition is not advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhakar Laxman Jathar
