Is Soreness And Discomfort In Neck Related To Spine ?

For the past few days my neck to the right of my trachia feels tight and sore if I tip my head back. It is also sore to the touch. There is no soreness when I swallow , and I have had no known injury . I just woke up one morning with this. If it is swollen it is slight. Turning my head to the right is uncomfotable also. Does not feel at all spine related.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
listening to your symptoms. My personal diagnosis is that its muscular pain of muscles around lower neck and back. And its due to postural behaviour. most probably due to persistent bending of neck on one side or pillows during night or sleeping time. I donot feel, it relates with spines.
We recommend you to have mild analgesic as (Paracetamol) with good muscle relaxant. And dont bend your neck beyond its Pain threshold. Kindly do mention your age while asking question.
