Is Suboxone Used For Drug Abuse, And Be Consumed With Perks?
My brother abused perks for years, went to rehab twice and is now taking suboxone. My concern is he still acts like he is abusing (he is ok for awhile then later in the day he acts loopy and confused like he used to when he took the perks) but he says he can't take perks with suboxone. Can he be abusing suboxone to get high like he did with the perks? Can he take both?
a bit unlikely that he is taking both. without an exam, I can only give general information, cannot say in your particular case, but suboxone is set up to block any other narcotic that is taken with it. It is a combination of a fairly weak narcotic (buprenorphine) and a drug that blocks other narcotics (naloxone). While suboxone DOES have narcotic effects, and DOES produce all the effects of other narcotics (you can withdrawal off of it). It's strength maxes out at roughly 30-50 mg of percocet per day. It sets up a helpful context to get things back together.
