Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I started taking Lamisil a couple of weeks ago. I am a 78 year-0ld training for a marathon. I run early in the morning, but noticed Lamisil users are supposed to avoid exposure to the sun for prolong periods. Is two or three hours mid-morning wearing shorts and no shirt a prolonged period of exposure, and what would the down side be, as I want to soak up vitamin D sun.
Lamisil can cause skin allergies and certain of skin problems. This can also cause photosensitivity that means skin burns after exposure to the sun. However, these are very uncommon and reversible. It does not mean that we cannot move in the sun after its use. So you can use it and enjoy sun, though if you feel any rash or sun burn you should stop the drug.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
