Is Surgery Needed For Sinus Mucosal Thickening?

I had a CT head scan last April. Findings were sinus mucosal thickening (which I knew) and mild generalized volume loss, and also posterior fossa structures reveal volume loss. No evidence of stroke or hemmorrhage. I am 73, was 72 at the time of the scan. Is this something to be worried about? Do I need to see a neurologist. Might it have anything to do with a serious sinus surgery I had 11 years ago?
