Is Surgery The Only Treatment For Capillary Hemangioma In Eyelid?
Hi..my daughter has a capillary hemangioma on her left eyelid which is growing rapidly..we initially discovered this in the first month and now she is six months...we have visited Opthalmologist plastic surgen and as per her my daughter needs to go thru 2 treatments...1) inject a steriod injection in her eyes..this will reduce the size of the lesion and 2) after 6 weeks go with the surgery...just want know your opinion on this.
Hello It seems from the history that your daughter is having capillary hemangioma of the eyelids. The treatment is by use of intralesional injection of steroids. Most of them will respond to this and resistant cases may require surgical excision. Hence your doctor' s advice is right and you can follow it.
Thank you
