My 4yo daughter has a slightly swollen and teary eye. Noticed some discharge but she doesn t have a fever and it s not bothering her. Only started this AM. Taking her to an appt at urgent care tomorrow. Last time this happened she was diagnosed with an ear infection so im thinking it could be that again
It should be bacterial or allergic inflammation of eye only not connected to ear. Start antibiotic eye drop like ofloxacin.3%4hourly. neosporine eye oint ment can be applied at bedtime. Can give warm phomantation. If there will be itching then add taking levocetrizine tablet. She should improve within 2to 3days.
Hello It seems from the history that your 4 year old daughter is having swelling, watering and discharge from the eyes. All these symptoms indicate infection of the eye in the form of acute conjunctivitis. The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
