Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had intercourse on 21st of Dec and i missed my period which was about to come on 3rd of jan. I am not ready for a pregnancy now.few months before my doctor prescribed meperate 10 mg for irregular periods and every thing was back to normal.Shall I reuse the medicine now to induce menstruation.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.. No in your case meprate should not be used for delaying your period. Meprate can be used for irregular periods, in case of hormonal imbance. As you had intercourse on 21th of December, you might be pregnant & this might be reason for delay in periods. If you are pregnant then taking meprate will not help & nothing could be done to induce your periods. First of all you should get checked for pregnancy by doing a pregnancy test. It is easy & reliable & can be done at home by a home pregnancy kit. If you are pregnant you should undergo your gynaecologist & can undergo an abortion under her guidance. If you are not pregnant you should also get checked for diagnosis & treatment plan for absence of periods in you.
Refer to your gynaecologist Hope this information helps
