Is Taking Prilosec And Plavix Together Harmful? How Do I Stop Taking The Prilosec Without Suffering Rebound Acid Re-flux?
Do most doctors or research studies still say there is a dander to patients who take both Prilosec and Plavix? if yes, then how do I stop taking the Prilosec without suffering rebound acid reflux? I can t stop the Plavix since I just had a coronary stent put in my heart.
Hi, Yes there are interactions with Prilosec and Plavix, and we better avoid it. In my practice, for patients who have reflux disease, i better ask them for lifestyle modifications, if it is not working, i switch to Protonix (Pantaprazole), in some reports it has been stated to have less problems using with plavix than that with Prilosec. Feel free to contact if you have further queries. Regards
