Is Taking Prozac Safe Instead Of Celexa With Buspar?
Question Preview ,Hi. A few weeks ago my doctor had initially prescribed me Celexa but decided to change it to Prozac?... with Buspar. I thought it was too early for me to see results with Celexa. I was only on it for 7 days. Is Prozac suppose to work faster and why not combine the two?

I do not know why your doctor made that change. Prozac takes much longer to work. Celexa can take up to 4-6 weeks to start working, while prozac can take up to 10 weeks. Both celexa and prozac can have drug interactions with the buspar if the doses are too high. Which ever drug you take you need to be monitored carefully if they are combined with buspar and the doses are high
