Is Taking Taxim O Safe For A Child?

Hi doctor, my 2 year old son had an accident at home yesterday where his fingers on the left hand came between the doors. As a result there was a cut on the middle and ring fingers. Thankfully no fracture. The doctor has done dressing with dynoplast and has prescribed Taxim O syrup (antibiotic). What i want to know is, is it safe for the child to have this antibiotic?
