Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a high blood pressure patient, and I have been using TARGIT 20 (10mg once every night). Presently, I am 5 months pregnant, and I am 42 yrs old. Is this medication safe for me and my baby to use? At the moment, the local gynecologist has prescribed a different tablet for the pressure, but it doesn t seem to suit my body like the TARGIT. Please advice.
This tablet is not researched in pregnancy, so you can take those which are tested in humans during pregnancy. Consult your gynecologist and take medicine. There is one natural way of controlling BP in pregnancy; sahaj samadhi 'Art of Living' guided meditation technique. Research shows very good results. Continue along with this medicine prescribed by your gynecologist or doctor. Sleep well, eat well and drink well.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
