Is Tenuate A Best Way To Loss Weight?

My friend told me about Tenuate. I m about 100 pounds overweight. I ve had a hip replaced and have a torn right rotor cuff both from an accident. My eyesight is changing and I m 56 years old. Is this the best/safest drug for weight loss under these circumstances.

Welcome to HCM!
I can't say Tenuate is the "best" way to lose weight because it isn't. Learning to eat the proper portions for your needs, a high fiber diet, an exercise program and counseling are the best ways. These should also be used if the doctor prescribes you Tenuate.

Tenuate is essentially an amphetamine and not the best drug of choice for you wice you just had an injury and this drug may be very stimulating.

Tenuate is NOT the safest drug for you, no. As far as prescription drugs go, many have problems. Olistat has had my patients lose control of bodily functions. The new ones are safer such as qysmia. No drug should be taken for weight loss unless accompanied by a reduction in calories and some type of exercise program.

Try asking your doctor about Qsymia. Good luck! Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
