I had a 1 hr gestational glucose tolerance test at dress office.The results was 160, I had a full lunch followed by the glucola drink.After reading about it on line i think I should have been fasting.i now have to do a full 3 hr tolerance .Do you think the 1 hr glucose tolerance results is accurate??

Hi, If you are doing a GTT, the exact amount of sugar (100g) needs to be taken for a proper evaluation. If you do it without the exact amount, available values cannot be interpreted. If you have a risk of possibility of gestational diabetes, then get your GTT done according to standards. Gestational diabetes mellitus leads to much riskier pregnancy if not under control.
