I just got my MRI results back and have not talked to my doctor yet about them. It showed what appears to be bilateral lymphadenopathy, is that serious? It also showed loss of cervical lordosis condition with a pattern of muscle spasm. Shoud I be worried?
A loss of cervical lordosis signifies muscle spasm and is not serious. This can be treated by restricted neck movements and avoiding sudden movements of the head. The bilateral neck lymphnodes need to be evaluated clinically and may requires a FNAC which will give a pathological diagnosis. Most times lymphnode swellings are due to benign conditions but they should not be ignored as it can be a sign of a serious illness.
