Is The Diagnosis Of Fibromyalgia While Having Pain And Tenderness In Joints Correct?

I have widespread joint pain as well as many other tender spots (around my rib cage, my thighs and upper arms) and I am not sure my diagnosis of fibromyalgia is the real/total cause. It hurts to the touch, in resting positions, worsens with movement and is affected by the weather. I have been tested for rheumatoid arthritis and have had x-rays of my shoulders and knees. Neither test showed anything but the beginnings of joint wear and mild arthritis. I have seen a multitude of doctors, tried all the recommended medicines, done physical therapy, and lost 40 pounds and still have had no relief from the constant pain. Does anyone have any suggestions of something else it could be or something else I could try?
